Back from the dark

I have not been active for a while.
The house is finished and we are living in it, the old house is painted and we have it rented out for a while. We haveboth turned 50 and I bought a new bike.
So yes we have been busy but we are now able to spare some time for the enjoyable things in life

Architraves and more

We have about 420 metres of architraces and skirting boards. They need to be cut to size, painted twice, screwed into place, puttyed the screw holes and then repainted. We are well underway and will spend most of the week doing it.
Next week will be vinyl for the ensuite and bathroom walls, the natural gas pipes from the road to the meter location and the kitchen will arrive and be fitted along with the laundry cupboards and the bath deck.

Moving along nicely. Plumber due for end of february.

More Painting

The plaster if finished and gone. The floor polisher has finished and gone. The kitchen, laundry and bath plinth is on order and in manufacture. The vinyl for the walls of the ensuite and bathroom is on order. The sinks and laundry trough have arrived. The lights and fans are on order and should be here soon.

I need to organise the shower screens and vanity units. I need to order the tap ware and organise the plumber to return. I need to order the electrical fit off items for the video and audio. I am waiting for the Cbus stuff to get organised and need to push the electircians to get going on the fit off.

I have the architraves and need to order the doors and door furniture for inside. Still a bit to do.

Paint and plaster

I managed to put the first coat of paint on 3 of the outside walls over the weekend. The colour is Scandanavian Grey. Looks good. The plasters continue inside with scaffold to reach the high areas. Looks like they will be out well before christmas and I hope to get the garage door in.

The plaster arrived today and work will start tommorrow oon the hanging. I expect the hanging to be done by the weekend or monday then it is just let the plasterer to work on his own to do the finishing. Out by christmas ready for us to paint over the holidays.

Ready for plaster

Been busy lately with insulation and wiring. Manhole spaces are ready and all the plumbing and wiring are in. Now it is wait for the plaster. We still have the eave lining, external painting, downpipes and cleaning up to do. Took one load of rubbish to the tip and have a load of scrap steel for next weekend ready to go. Must mow the grass as well this week due to the spring growth.
Planning and pricing the kitchen and laundry cupboards as well at the moment.
